Sure Foundation Class - Essential First Principles of the True Gospel
Though indeed almost everyone on earth has heard of Jesus Christ, still most people (whether or not one claims to be a Christian) would benefit greatly from learning the original, fundamental teachings of the gospel (Good News) as it relates to the “kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 8). It is essential to have a solid foundation of the “word of the beginning about the Christ” before one can genuinely “press on to spiritual maturity” (Hebrews 6).
And so the Seattle Christadelphians offer a FREE Sunday morning class entitled “Sure Foundation” open to everyone. Subjects covered are the first principles of the gospel as taught in the Bible, using both Old and New Testament.

What will I learn?
"Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, Jesus explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures."
Luke 24:25-27
Do you know what God means when He says that "Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises to the fathers" (Romans 15)? Do you know the fundamental principles God has laid out as the basis for understanding "the gospel of our salvation" as taught by Jesus and his apostles 2000 years ago? (hint: they're listed in the letter to the Hebrews)
Subjects covered include:
What is Biblical repentance? It’s not just being sorry for one’s sins or evil deeds.
What constitutes evil deeds in God's sight?
How does God define faith?
What are "the keys to the Kingdom," that Jesus refers to?
What does “the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment” imply for the disciple of Christ?
Why is the so-called "Old Testament" vital to properly guide our understanding of the work and teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ?
How was the “gospel preached beforehand to Abraham” (Galatians 3)? Who is Abraham? And why is he considered the “father of us all” (ie, the faithful, Romans 4)?
Come and learn these and the other “elements of the beginning of the oracles of God” (Hebrews 5). All classes are entirely FREE and open to everyone – teens to adults of all ages currently attend these Sunday morning classes. Though classes are structured, questions are always encouraged, yet no one is made to feel pressured to give an answer or “put on the spot” at any time. It’s meant to be a learning environment.
Who would benefit from these classes?
Anyone who wishes to know and understand the first principles of the original, true gospel of Jesus Christ.
What is the goal of these classes?
Ultimately to instruct a person in the way of God’s righteousness through faith, based on His fundamental teachings, “having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief corner stone” (Ephesians 2), and therefore to equip a disciple to “press on to spiritual maturity” in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 5 and 6).

"No man can lay a foundation other than the one which is laid, which is Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 3:10, 11
